Cow Day at Chick-fil-A

If you didn't catch the marketing frenzy, Chick-fil-A celebrated Cow Appreciation Day last Friday by offering a free combo to anyone who showed up at one of their restaurants dressed in full cow costume. It took a little convincing for Mike to dress like a cow rather than just pay the $6 for his lunch, but in the spirit of a good time, he went along with it. In the end he admitted the fun was worth the 10 minutes it took to transform the three of us into cows. We looked ridiculous, but our little calf was as cute as she could be. We didn't just happen to have a cow costume for her tucked away, but thanks to the popularity of white elephant gift exchanges among our friends at Christmas time, we did have a penguin costume in her size that was easily converted into a cow costume with a few safety pins and a pair of Dad's socks.

You can't see in the picture, but Mike and I both have ribbon "tails".

The calf.

A close up of her "hooves".

Cute. We dressed our three kids up for the event as well. The place was packed! Mike was a better sport than me, though. I paid the six bucks. :)
