Young Love

My friend Beth (we met in middle school, graduated from high school together, lived together for four years in college, and are still great friends) drove from Madison, GA with her two boys to spend the day with Caroline and me. It was not only a fun day, but a momentous occasion because it was the first time her youngest son, Wes, met Caroline--and we feel sure the two of them will get married. Caroline changed outfits three times before they got here (ok, so that was me hoping she could finally fit into some of her 0-3 sized clothes, especially the new ones we got from Ellie Saturday). We read books, went out to lunch, played at the park, saw trains and firetrucks, and went to Snippets for haircuts for the boys. Caroline slept through a lot of it, but she was awake for:

...her first kiss!

Ben and Wes "petting the baby". Beth quickly reminded them that we pet animals, not babies.

Wes, excited about seeing the train, but not excited about hearing it.

It doesn't seem that long ago that we were college freshmen lying in our bunkbeds talking about "someday" when we had jobs and husbands and kids...but it was really too far away to imagine.

So what is Jackson, chopped liver?! ;0) Just kidding...those Coody boys are cUUUte! Looks like you had a great day together. Reading your post brought back memories of a dorm room with blue gingham bedspread(s). Was that your room at North GA?

What a cute post! Won't it be fun for our kids to look back on these sites years from now???

You guys have to come hang out on the porch soon. I'm sure Caroline will love the big porch swing:)

I knew that they were a match made in Heaven from the start! I'm already thinking about the hat that "Crazy Aunt Heather" will pick out to wear to the wedding. :)
